U-VUE Biomarker Datasheet - Granzyme B
|Main cell types:||Cytotoxic T lymphocytes and Natural killer cells|
|Subcellular Location:||Intracellular, secreted|
|Positive control:||Tonsil, Spleen|
Granzyme B is a serine protease stored in secretory granules of Cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) and Natural killer (NK) cells. Activated cytotoxic cells release grnazyme B that enters into the target cells where it can interact with cellular substrates to initiate cell death.
